After she inherits an Italian restaurant in Brooklyn, manager Amy teams up with a blacklisted master chef looking for a second chance. They discover that the most important ingredient for any recipe is always love.
When Amy grew up she spent a lot of time at the Mama’s with its’ owner ‘Mama’ who became her surrogate mother. In present days she has a job at another restaurant but when she’s passed by with a promotion she quits at the spur of the moment. Just as she’s wondering what to do next she gets a call from a lawyer that wants her to attend the reading of ‘Mama’s’ will. It turns out that ‘Mama’ has left the restaurant to her even though they’ve lost touch. The only stipulation in the will is that she’s to keep the present chef, Frank. The restaurant has not been doing so well lately and it turns out that Amy and Frank has very different opinions on how the restaurant and it’s menu should be. Forced to work together they have to find ways to turn the Mama’s back to success.
